• Usage Data (Non-Personal): We collect aggregated, non-personally identifiable usage statistics, such as the number of PDFs generated, themes used, or overall AI feature usage counts (e.g., total AI generations across all users). This helps us understand service demand and improve our offerings without identifying individual users.

How Content is Processed (Document Content & AI Prompts)

The core function of TextToPDF.app involves processing content you provide. Our policy is designed to be highly privacy-preserving:

• Document Content (Text & Images for Conversion): When you paste text, upload an image, or use our editor to create content for PDF/CSV/Excel generation, this data is sent to our servers for processing. It is used ephemerally and only for the purpose of generating your requested document. This content is never stored on our permanent systems after the conversion is complete and the file is delivered or the session ends.
• AI Toolkit Prompts & Input: For features using our AI Toolkit (such as generating content, fixing grammar, improving writing, or image-to-HTML/table conversion), the prompts and input text/images you provide are securely transmitted to our AI service provider, OpenAI, to perform the requested action. This data is not stored by us (TextToPDF.app) after the AI response is received and delivered back to you. OpenAI's usage policies dictate how they handle this data for their service improvement (please refer to their privacy policy for details).

How We Use Information We Collect (Account & Payment Data)

The limited personal information we collect (primarily email addresses and payment tokens) is used solely for the following purposes:

• To provide, operate, and maintain our services , including managing your user account and access to features.
• To process your transactions for single purchases, credit packs, and manage your Pro subscriptions.
• To secure your account and prevent fraudulent activity.
• To respond to your support requests or inquiries submitted via our contact channels.
• For internal analytics to understand and improve service performance and user experience (using aggregated, non-identifiable data).

• Payment Processors (Stripe): To process your payments. We share only transaction data, not your full card details.

• AI Service Provider (OpenAI): Input content for AI processing is sent to OpenAI as described in the "How Content is Processed" section.
• Analytics Providers (Google Analytics - for general website usage): To understand overall website traffic and user behavior in an aggregated, anonymized form. Your individual activity is not identifiable.

Data Retention

• Document Content & AI Prompts: As described, this data is processed ephemerally and is not stored on our systems after the requested service is delivered.
• Account Information (Email): We retain your email address as long as your account remains active to provide our services and manage your subscription/credits. If you delete your account, your email address will be removed from our active databases.
• Payment Tokens: Secure payment tokens from Stripe are retained as necessary to manage recurring subscriptions or to process refunds, as per Stripe's data retention policies.
• Usage Data: Aggregated and anonymized usage data may be retained for longer periods to analyze trends and improve our services, as it does not identify individuals.

• All payment processing is handled by Stripe , a certified PCI Service Provider Level 1, ensuring the highest level of payment data security.

• Data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS .
• We regularly review our security practices to ensure your data remains protected.

Third-Party Services

We use specific third-party services, each with their own privacy policies, to enable our operations:

• Firebase (Google): For user authentication and management of user accounts (including subscription status and credits). This is part of Google Cloud's infrastructure (Firebase Privacy & Security).
• OpenAI: For helping with the AI Toolkit features (content generation, grammar correction, image-to-text/table conversion). Your AI prompts and input data are processed by OpenAI for these features (OpenAI Privacy Policy).
• Google Analytics: Used to collect anonymous, aggregated website usage statistics to help us understand how our site is used and improve it. This data is not personally identifiable (Google Privacy Policy).
